THEME: PENGUIN CRAFT ACTIVITY
HOW DO WE DO THIS ACTIVITY?
Topic: Handcrafts
Age: 4-6-year-old children
Goal: Through this penguin craft activity, children will make a penguin handcraft according to the ideas and instructions they are shown, they also will strengthen their fine motor skills.
Difficulty level: Advanced. This penguin craft activity is designed for children to carry out autonomously by following instructions.

MATERIALS
- A tray
- Scissors
- Colored paper (Black, white, yellow or orange, light blue, and dark blue)
- Three plastic containers
- Small paintbrush
- Cotton balls
- A marker to outline the child's hand
- Glue
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Draw your hand on the black paper and cut it out. This will work as the penguin's body.
Step 2:
Smear glue with a paintbrush and paste the penguin's body on the light blue paper.
Step 3:
Cut a circle from the white paper, then glue it in the middle of the penguin's body. This will be the penguin belly.
Step 4:
To make the penguin's eyes, cut two small circles from the white paper and two smaller circles from the black paper. Glue them together with the little black circles being inside the small white circles. Glue the eyes to the penguin shape.
Step 5:
After cutting a small orange or yellow triangle from the paper, the "beak" is glued below the eyes. Paste the penguin shape on the lower half of the light blue paper.
Step 6:
Finish this activity by gluing some cotton balls above the penguin image. This can be snowflakes falling or clouds. The light blue paper is slightly smaller than the dark blue paper leaving a blue edge around the picture.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This penguin craft activity can be done with younger children. To lower the difficulty level, it is necessary to change the materials. In this case, you can use a printable for the child to carry out the activity. With a sponge to make paint stamps, the eyes and beak can be done with playdough. In this way, they can perform a motor skill activity appropriate to the development and abilities of younger children.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OLDER THAN 6
This preschool activity can be done with older children. To increase the difficulty level, it is unnecessary to change the materials.
