They are always learning and acquiring new knowledge. This knowledge feeds children’s lives, allowing them to know each other and structure their personalities.

Sensory activities allow children to enhance their senses and, in this same way, have an approach to the knowledge of reality. That’s because they use all their senses by observing, touching different materials, smell, and sometimes listening to the sounds made by specific materials.

When children carry out these activities, they use their heads and hands, which allows them to prepare for math and language. Thus, in the not-too-distant future, developing skills related to these areas will be easy.

Through these activities, children can experience concepts such as big-small, high-low, thick-thin, liquid-viscous, among others allowing them to think about those opposite concepts.

Age: 2-4-year-old children

MATERIALS

Colored paint
A straw
Liquid soap
A white paper sheet
Water
Disposable or plastic cups

ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT

Step 1:

Put some paint in each plastic or disposable cup.

Step 2:

Add liquid soap to each plastic or disposable cup where you previously put paint.

Step 3:

Add a bit of water into each disposable or plastic cup.

Step4:

Mix the ingredients and make bubbles with the straw.
