Roleplay is an activity that allows boys and girls to develop their social skills. Through this game, children rehearse their adult attitudes and develop skills to interact with their environment.
This boat craft allows children to develop their concepts about reality while playing. In this process, interaction with other children is essential. Children manage to learn the rules of coexistence and respect differences. It also promotes shy children's participation allow them to be more secure and express their ideas.
It is very important that, during this process, children are with an adult since the adult is the one who guides and motivates the activity and talks with boys and girls about it at the end of the game to measure the knowledge they get.
After playing the game and talking about it, the adult who was with them can propose doing other roleplay activities to enhance other children's skills.
The following paper boat craft activity aims to develop boys' and girls' fine motor skills by creating a craft related to the game's roleplaying. Remember that motor development helps children get the skills necessary for their school stage, especially for their lives.
