HOW DO WE DO THIS ACTIVITY?

Goal: Strengthen children’s fine motor skills and imagination.
Difficulty level: Average. This Christmas easy kids drawing activity is designed to be done by children autonomously and independently by following instructions.

MATERIALS
- A plastic bag/Ziploc (preferably a large one)
- Markers
- Black foam pieces
- Construction paper
- Scissors
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Draw cookies on the plastic bag using multi-color markers.
Step 2:
Put the black foam sheet into the Ziploc bag.
Step 3:
Draw a flashlight onto the construction paper and cut it out.
Step 4:
After that, put the flashlight into the plastic bag and see how it lights up the cookies.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
You can carry out this easy kids drawing activity with younger children by lowering the difficulty level. It is unnecessary to change materials. Children can draw whatever they want on the plastic bag, no matter if they scribble. They should have adult supervision and help, especially when doing more demanding tasks like drawing and cutting the flashlight.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OLDER THAN 6
You can also do this easy kids drawing activity with older children. In this case, they can do more detailed drawings and using additional colors. At this age, it is possible they can cut using scissors, so they can do this Christmas activity independently with an adult’s supervision.
