Are you looking for a fun indoor activity with kids for Christmas? Check out "Light Up the Cookies" an easy kids drawing activity for preschoolers.
The first art samples of children are drawings. They start to scribble at a very early age, even not knowing how to hold a pencil. But this isn’t an obstacle for them to start creating things.
By drawing, children not only develop their motor skills, which are very important for the development of their learning, but it is also an incredible way for children to express their emotions and even more when they cannot do it verbally.
Boys and girls test their imagination in each creation using shapes, colors, and sizes. That’s why adults shouldn’t modify a child’s drawings or prevent them from painting things like a blue dog. When we do it, we limit their creativity.
Drawing promotes children’s development in three fundamental areas: motor, cognitive, and emotional. When drawing, children control their movements and mirror the perception they have about the world around them. This ability will help children begin their writing process and function independently in various daily activities. It also stimulates the brain and encourages creativity and imagination.
