MATERIALS
- Hole punch
- Two pieces of card stock
- Scissors
- Markers
- Pencil
- Recycled paper

ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Put the pieces of card stock together and draw a football ball, then cut it out.
Step 2:
Use the white marker to draw some lines in the ball’s silhouette.
Step 3:
Use the hole punch to open some holes around the ball edges.
Step 4:
Sew the ball pieces together using the yarn. Before sewing, it closed with yarn, leave a space to put the recycled paper inside the ball.
Step 5:
Open the ball and put the recycled paper inside of it, and finish sewing the ball.

HOW DO WE DO THIS FOOTBALL CRAFT ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN OF DIFFERENT AGES?
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This football crafts for preschoolers activity can be developed with younger children. To lower the difficulty level of it, you should change the materials. Children have not developed the ability to open holes with the hole punch at this age, so you should help them with this task. In this way, they will carry out a craft activity appropriate to their development and skills.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OLDER THAN 6
This football craft activity can be done with older children. To increase the difficulty level, it is not necessary to change the materials. Opening the holes requires some strength in the hand muscles. Maybe children will need help. Perhaps, it will take them a long time to open the gaps, so it is unnecessary to modify since the football activity is appropriate for children’s development.
