Today we live in a world of demands where our days pass by very quickly. However, we seem more concerned about the future without realizing the present. People are subjected to daily needs and pressures to meet objectives; however, children are the most affected by family stress that generates anxiety, insecurity, and control of emotions.

Today’s lifestyle is different because it is a digital world, and there’s more confinement, leading to problems such as stress and anxiety. Therefore, it is necessary to begin to instill in children a healthy lifestyle such as a good diet, physical and mental exercise, which will help them control and channel their emotions.

Therefore, a good alternative for children to practice is yoga which is a fun way to relax. The different yogs poses become a game, and you can also practice as a family to strengthen the bond. Through yoga, children increase flexibility, coordination, and balance, promoting inner harmony and teamwork without competing.

It also encourages concentration, channels excess energy, builds confidence, and teaches them to believe in themselves, improving self-esteem. Another important aspect is that yoga permits self-knowledge and allows children to know and listen to their bodies, enhancing their mental and emotional state.

“Regarding the origin of Yoga, according to Ponce (2000), this technique is a science of life, which appeared in India.

Its origin is not exact, but some archaeological evidence of its existence is found in stone seals excavated in the Hindu valley. These stones show “asanas,” or yoga body postures. They are thought to be from the age of 3,000 years Before Christ. The word yoga appears for the first time in the collection of scriptures named “Vedas,” dated about 2,500 years before Christ.”
