HOW DO WE DO THIS ACTIVITY?
Topic: Handcrafts
Age: 4-6-year-old children
Goal: Through this rainbow craft activity, kids will learn to develop specific psychomotor skills in contact with different materials.

- A paintbrush in a container
- Glue in a container

ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Take the glue from the container and paste the paper strips on the semicircle making a rainbow.
Step 2:
Glue the cotton filling the entire semicircle making a cloud.

HOW TO DEVELOP THIS ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN OF OTHER AGES?
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This rainbow craft activity can be done with younger children. If they still cannot glue the strips of paper, they can make a craft of a rainbow drawing using the tearing technique. They must tear the colored paper and paste pieces of paper on the rainbow in a free and autonomous way. Parents can get involved in the development of the activity if the children require it. In this way, a rainbow craft will be carried out according to the development and abilities of the children,
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OVER 6 YEARS OLD
This rainbow craft activity can be done with older children. To increase the difficulty level, children indeed at this age can cut using scissors. They can cut each one of the pieces. Performing the activity in this way requires greater precision in the movements of the hands and fingers. Activity will be carried out according to the children’s development and abilities.
