A plastic dish
Two half-sheets of card stock or heavy paper
Paint in several colors
Yarn
Scissors
A pen
2 containers

ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT

Step 1:

Draw and cut out the shape of a football on the heavy paper.

Step 2:

Draw the lines of the ball on the pieces you just cut out.

Step 3:

Put the paint on the plastic dish and put the yarn on top. The idea is that the yarn should be smeared as much as possible with different colored paints.

Step 4:

Arrange the yarn on one of the pieces of paper. Make sure that some of the yarn is left outside the shape.

Step 5:

HOW DO WE DO THIS FOOTBALL ART ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN OF DIFFERENT AGES?

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD

This football arts and crafts for kids activity can be developed for younger children. To do activities according to children's development and abilities, they must be given two football shapes previously made card stock. Instead of soaking the yarn with paint, the child can pour paint directly on the card stock football.

If it is too difficult for children to pour the paint onto the card stock, the adult can help them with this step. Once the paint has been poured, the child will spread the paint using a piece of foam or a cotton ball. In this way, he/she will make a work of art with the indicated materials.
