Activity level: Intermediate. This Earth Day activity for preschoolers is designed to be carried out by a minimum of two children. It is essential that throughout the game, children are under adult surveillance.

- Recycled colored paper
- Scissors
- Two straws (preferably paper, remember the importance of recycling)
- Two containers
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
The adult can help with this step. Cut out the colored paper into medium squares and put them on the table.
(The papers must be bigger than the hole of the straw to avoid that the child suck it up and choke)
Step 2:
Take the straws and put them in the mouth.
Step 3:
Sucking (sending/pulling the air into the mouth) through the straw, they must take the papers placed on the table and put them inside the container.

HOW TO DEVELOP THIS EARTH DAY ACTIVITY FOR PRESCHOOLERS WITH CHILDREN OF OTHER AGES?
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
You can do this Earth Day activity game with younger children. To reduce the difficulty level, children can collect the papers using tweezers and then put them inside the container.
If they want, they can use a clock/timer so that the activity is more exciting. This way, children will play a game appropriate to their development and abilities.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OVER 6 YEARS OLD
You can do this Earth Day activity for preschoolers with older children. To increase the level of difficulty, children will take the papers with the straw.
Still, they should arrange them into different containers according to the color of each piece of paper.
