MATERIALS:
- A disposable spoon with a face drawn on it
- Two large hearts (previously made)
- Two medium hearts (previously made)
- Glue
- Two pipe cleaners in a container
- A paintbrush in a container
- A container
- A tray
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
(Adult supervision)
Step 1:
Glue the two large hearts end to end, creating the butterfly’s wings.
Step 2:
Over the large hearts, glue the medium hearts in the same direction.
Step 3:
Glue the pipe cleaners in the spoon. That will work as the butterfly antennas. Then, glue the spoon to the wings.

CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This butterfly easy craft idea can be developed with younger children. To lower the difficulty level, it is necessary to change materials. In this case, children can use a printable of a butterfly and use paint and their fingers to decorate the butterfly with stamps. This way, they will carry out an activity according to their development and skills.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OLDER THAN 6
This easy craft idea activity can be done with older children. To increase the difficulty level, you will not need to change the materials used. Still, to make it more attractive, children can use scissors, cut the pieces by themselves, and add more wings of other sizes. This way, they will carry out an activity according to their development and skills.
