One of the biggest challenges for parents is raising and guiding their children to have values and act appropriately with society. Education in values is given at home; it cannot be delegated to the school. Although this education is reinforced at school, the family must educate with love, tolerance, and respect.
We must teach values to children. Usually, they do not think of others; they only think of themselves. Each child is a different world. Children’s personality is marked during gestation; however, their character develops, and values are learned with their experiences and surrounding environment. Children will be the ones to fight in the future for a more tolerant and respectful society.
To live in a healthy coexistence, tolerance is essential. To be tolerant is to have the ability to respect the differences that exist with other people in terms of ideas, personalities, beliefs, and conditions. Children must understand that there is nothing wrong with being different; they must grow up free of prejudices and stereotypes. Children must learn to love people as they are.
From home, stereotypes must be broken, education is done with love, respect, and tolerance, but above all, by example. Children will always find a reference and a role model in their parents or the adults they live with, so each action of adults must be consistent with what children are taught. Remember, they are always watching and learning from each action.

Goal: With this Easter craft ideas activity, children will strengthen their hand and finger movements.
Difficulty level: Advanced. This Easter craft ideas activity is designed to be done autonomously and independently with adult surveillance.

MATERIALS
- Two small disposable bowls
- Yellow bond/construction paper
- Brown paint
- A cardboard tube (those used in toilet paper will work)
- Glue in a container
- A circle previously made to be used as Jesus’ face
- Two paintbrushes
- A marker
- Scissors
- A container to hold the brushes, marker, and scissors
- A tray
ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT
Step 1:
Paint the disposable bowls.
Step 2:
After painting the bowls, paste the bottoms together to create the baby Jesus’ crib.
Step 3:
Use the scissors to cut some strips with the yellow paper to use as the hay.
Step 4:
Put the paper strips on the crib. Draw the baby Jesus’ face in the circle and paste it onto the cardboard tube.

HOW TO DEVELOP THIS EASTER CRAFT ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN OF OTHER AGES?
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD
This Easter craft ideas activity can be done with younger children. To reduce the difficulty level, children can craft with foamy and put cotton on the crib. Children will have the possibility to explore with different materials. In this way, they will make a preschool activity appropriate to their development and abilities.
CHANGES FOR CHILDREN OVER 6 YEARS OLD
You can do this Easter craft activity with older children. To increase the difficulty level, children can do an activity with wooden sticks to form the crib and wool as the straw for the crib. Children need greater precision in their hands and fingers’ movements and need skills such as problem-solving and creativity to carry out this craft activity. In this way, children can do an action appropriate to their development and abilities.
